Day # 2
This Day we went to visit and explore at Luz del Mundo Learning Center. Having the blessing to see the goodness of God. Seeing the children happy. Seeing the classrooms in person that we built in the back of the school. Seeing the structure built up for the new bathrooms. Seeing them still drinking clean water. We have literally seen Gods glory and goodness with our own eyes. Tears of joy for everything that God has already done. Thanks be to God. Also, tears of pain and intercession for the needs that we believe God will provide for in the future.
Este día fuimos a visitar y explorar el Luz del Mundo Learning Center. Tuvimos la bendición de presenciar la bondad de Dios. Ver a los niños felices. Ver en persona las aulas que construimos en la parte trasera de la escuela. Ver la estructura construida para los nuevos baños. Verlos aún bebiendo agua limpia. Literalmente, hemos visto la gloria y la bondad de Dios con nuestros propios ojos. Lágrimas de alegría por todo lo que ya se ha hecho. Gracias a Dios. También, lágrimas de dolor e intercesión por las necesidades que creemos que Dios proveerá en el futuro.
Welcome to Luz del Mundo Learning Center
Kids are still having the blessing of drinking clean water from the 2023 water project. They used to get malaria and other diseases often. Now they still get sick, but not constantly or daily.
Los niños siguen teniendo la bendición de beber agua limpia del proyecto hídrico 2023. Antes contraían malaria y otras enfermedades con frecuencia. Ahora siguen enfermándose, pero no constantemente ni a diario.
Unfinished classes
These are 2 classrooms in the back of the school that are still not finished. They are in prayer and faith that God will supply for construction for these classes and also for dormitives for the children that have no where to go after school (they currently sleep in the church). This is a important need as the children are growing, and they need a place for the older children to study.
Estas son dos aulas en la parte trasera de la escuela que aún no están terminadas. Están orando y confiando en que Dios proveerá para la construcción de estas aulas y también para los dormitorios de los niños que no tienen adónde ir después de la escuela (actualmente duermen en la iglesia). Esta es una necesidad importante, ya que los niños están creciendo y necesitan un lugar para que los mayores estudien.
Finished Classes
These classes where constructed in 2023 They are being used by the smaller children. Thank you Jesus for providing them a safer place to study! Estas aulas se construyeron en 2023. Las usan los niños más pequeños. ¡Gracias, Jesús, por brindarles un lugar más seguro para estudiar!

School Kitchen /Cocina Escolar
This Is the "Kitchen" where the teachers prepare the meals for the children throughout school days. When it rains, water comes through the Kitchen. Lets keep praying for God to provide for construction on this kitchen.. which is also in our hearts and petitions.
Esta es la "Cocina" donde los maestros preparan las comidas de los niños durante la jornada escolar. Cuando llueve, el agua entra por la cocina. Sigamos orando a Dios para que nos permita construir esta cocina... que también está en nuestros corazones y peticiones.

Bathrooms/ Baños
The bathrooms are considered unsanitary... So us as a group, through prayer and fasting, decided to assist the construction for the bathrooms to be redone. So far, only the outside structure sis finished (you will see that work coming up, and you can also view the mission section of the website labeled bathroom construction). We believe God to raise funds to finish the plumbing and interior if the new bathrooms. God has touched the government officials heart to allow the school to continue to operate when they seen construction started.. but they will have to be finished before the next year inspections.
Los baños se consideran insalubres... Así que, como grupo, mediante oración y ayuno, decidimos ayudar en la remodelación de los baños. Hasta el momento, solo se ha terminado la estructura exterior (verán las obras próximamente y también pueden consultar la sección de misiones del sitio web, "Construcción de baños"). Confiamos en que Dios recaudará fondos para terminar la plomería y el interior de los nuevos baños. Dios ha tocado el corazón de los funcionarios del gobierno para que la escuela siga funcionando cuando vieron que la construcción había comenzado... pero tendrán que terminarla antes de las inspecciones del próximo año.

This beautiful young girl was found in one of the unfinished classrooms pouring her heart out to God. Thank God, she now has a sponsor. There are many beautiful children who are in need and are interceding.
For the glory of God, 18 Children now have a sponsor through Light of the World Ministries. The sponsors pay $28.00 monthly to ensure the child gets a secular and biblical education. This is a big deal in Uganda, as not everyone can afford a education- leaving them with no hope for a different future...
The children are blessed with education but more then that are experiencing the love of Christ through somebody that God would touch to love and care for them across the world. They get excited to share there school reports, achievements, photos and videos with there sponsors. They even, since learning to write and speak in English, write letters to there sponsors and anticipate that reply.

Para la gloria de Dios, 18 niños ahora cuentan con un padrino a través del Ministerio Luz del Mundo. Los padrinos pagan 28.00 mensuales para asegurar que el niño reciba una educación secular y bíblica. Esto es muy importante en Uganda, ya que no todos pueden costear una educación, lo que los deja sin esperanza de un futuro diferente...
Los niños son bendecidos con la educación, pero más que eso, están experimentando el amor de Cristo a través de alguien a quien Dios quiere tocar para amarlos y cuidarlos en todo el mundo. Se emocionan al compartir sus informes escolares, logros, fotos y videos con sus padrinos. Incluso, desde que aprendieron a escribir y hablar inglés, escriben cartas a sus padrinos y esperan su respuesta.
La Hermana Melissa trabaja con todo su corazón para asegurar que los niños y padrinos sean bendecidos a través de este programa.
